Today has been a day of celebration in Morocco, for the happy and much-awaited wedding of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco. As the first day of festivities, in the typical Moroccan tradition, this day is dedicated to “Henna”.
Tradition dictates that during a Henna ceremony the bride is normally wearing a traditional green kaftan, paired with golden jewelry, and she gets tattooed both hands and feet, as a sign of happiness.
With the number of royalty and elite guests present at the few days wedding, there will be some beautiful fashion to see. Starting by today’s Princess Lalla Salma’sand embellished kaftan, next to the bride Lalla Oum Keltoum in a traditional green veil (photo above).
Yellow was apparently the theme of this ceremony. Other than Lalla Salma, all the princesses adopted different shades of the same color, which paired perfectly with their glowing smiles.
