Who is excited for this? I know I am.
Inspired by “a modern-day version of Brigitte Bardot in 1963’s movie Contempt”, Chanel chose Rome this year to showcase its extravagant 88-piece Métiers d’Art collection.
A mixture of “Italian Neorealism and French film noir”, the collection was very much a mishmash of soft and hard elements. Metal detailed belts, lacy accents, leather pieces, and luxurious embroideries, everything was in place to show off the intricate craftsmanship of Chanel’s suppliers, as of Métiers d’Art’s main purpose.
And here is the complete collection.
